The Story of Noah
Once upon a time, there was a man named Noah. He was a good man.
However, the world was very bad. So bad in fact that God was sorry He had ever made it!
God told Noah to make a boat, or as we know it, an Ark!
The ark was to be built exactly as God had told Noah.
The God told Noah to collect 2 of each animal and put them on the ark. There were also 7 of some animals.
God shut the door of the ark. Only Noah, his family and the animals were on board. It started to rain.
For 40 days and nights it rained. Everything that was not in the ark had drowned. Then the rain stopped.
Noah sent a raven out to look for dry land.
But it couldn't find anywhere to land so it came back to the ark.
Then, Noah sent a dove out to look for land.
It came back with a leaf in its beak! It must have found a tree. The water was going down!
Noah sent the dove out again. But it did not come back. The water must have gone down enough to find a place to roost
God promised never to judge the world again by water. He set a rainbow in the sky as a witness to this promise.
